no text labels for anything in tiny portal admin

[gest400]

just did a clean install smf 1.1.2 and tinyportal 0.98 and when i click on the admin button and look under the tinyportal heading, there are no links or text labels.  also, if i click on the "E" button on the frontpage for a module, it brings me to the admin settings page but with no labels for the fields.  i checked the languages directory and everything seems fine.  any ideas?

thanks

This has been covered many many many times.  Try the search it works pretty well. But I have done it to .  Try changing your forum default language under server settings in your admin panel from english utf  to english

glad to have helped.  The people who offer support here are pretty busy.  It just helps them if you search first because usually you can find the answer that way.

Indeed. Usually missing labels indicates missing language strings.
