v0.75 Frontpage display issue with new membergroups

I have v0.75 on RC1. Install went ok except for the tp-pathtothumbs2 error which is easy to fix and hopefully not related to my main issue.

The only other error started when I began adding member groups.

Concurrent with the appearance of this error, the frontpage display changed for any members that I assigned to a new(non-default) membergroup. I make group A and make member Z a member of group A and now member Z can't see the leftside of my home page. Change the member back to "Regular" and the page appears correctly. Change the member to "Global Mod" and the page appears fine. Assign the member to any group that I have created, even if I make permissions identical to a membergroup that exists by default, the home page is modified.

I tried reinstalling TPortal.php from the "0.75 files only" zip. No change.

I have Oxygen installed...the issues occurs with Oxygen and the SMF default theme.

This might be a silly question, but...After adding someone to a group are you making sure that permissions for that group are checked in your TPadmin for permissions on blocks?

duhhhh...got so focused on the ins and outs of SMF I forgot about that function in TP.
