Profile.template.php in theme?

[Hopeless_Noob]

Hey guys, I was going to make some custom modifications to the user profiles, and i noticed I need to modify Profile.template.php and Display.template.php

These are not in the theme I am using (oxygen tp) but I see them in default theme.  I am not sure how these themes work.... do I just modify the files in the default theme folder?  Do i copy them to my oxygen folder?  Or am I out of luck?      Thanks!

I would copy them to your theme folder and modify them. If a theme file is not there, it uses the default files.

Great to know, thanks!
