I tried to install CPMFetch and succeeded. I created a left PHP block in TP  and added the script to it once I put the path to my own gallery in it.I corrected the path.
include_once "../cpg1410/cpmfetch/cpmfetch.php";
It did not work, so I took out the php tags ...duh, but thast did not help either; then I took out the script and tried some scripts from this board. Still nothing worked.  I put in the first script and my site got all messed up.

I have the previous release of TP (not the one posted a few days ago) I have the latest Coppermine. The SMF is the last version available. This is a new site...nothing much posted on it until we get everything to work.

I'm afraid I will have to remove TP and reinstall it just to be able to log in again. Yes? No? What the heck did I do?? What should I do now?

Thanks for trying to helpme. I really messed up this time.

Your suggestion did not work.

I uninstalled and re-installed CPM Fetch. Nothing happened. I just deleted the CPMFetch folder using Fetch (ftp) and uploaded it again and ran install again. Still getting that defective login page with the error message.

So angry, had everything working nicely, bridging, etc...the works.

This have been coverd before, i even think it's one of the biggest threads on TP.
Also it's not a tp support question so i move this to block code and snippets.
The other thread is in the same forum, so look for that thread and your answer is there.

OK found it: http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=13973.0 (I hadn't thought of looking up the words "fatal error" LOL)

So I entered the deep dark database and I removed the bad code. It was a bad path . I must say, an interesting experience.

Thank you once again, you're an angel for putting up with all this incompetence.

Still need to figure out how to get a single, random image from our coppermine gallery on the left column of tp. I am going back to that thread now. Everyone have a great morning.

Icompetence is one of the things that tells us we need to learn more, and how to find what and where :)

So it's not a bad thing to be incometent, as long as you atleast try to follow where we point :)

Thank you for looking it over, and glad you worked it out   :)

Believe me, it is good to have someone at least tell you that you are looking in the right place. This is all new stuff for me. I am most interested in the design of web pages not so much in development. But of course one must learn how it all works. I learned html back in 1996, when there were like 10 tags and the hardest thing you had to do is make an imagemap. After 2000 i stopped making web pages. My skills need serious updating, yes. Who knows...maybe someday I will acually come up with a new theme.
Kind regards
L.

I'm moving this back to support, as Bloc Code snippets is not for support.

Best place for cpmfetch-support is here:http://coppermine-gallery.net/forum/index.php?topic=41858.msg199134#msg199134. I am using cpmfetch intensive on my site and VUUD helped me a lot ;)
so better go there as your problem is not really a matter of TP or even smf :)
you can look at what I have done here (still testing stage)http://www.picts-online.com
ciao,
