I still have my folders and such but my original site is had it. Gonna.

Now I am rebuilding a new improved site on another server.
Where would I find all my text and things from the crashed site for the blocks I had. I had a ' Friends ' list of links that I really want back on the new site. I also want the txt and such for my downloads. Where would I find all that?

I'm trying to save as much as I can.

Help   :(

Porky

if you have a back up of your old site you can restore to the new one. Look in your old mysql datbases to see if you still have it.

Ok. Thought it was.. I was hosted with on another persons hosting. I have to learn mysql databases in a hurry to get my games and forum back in.

I've only just now got my members back in..

Thanks. I was hoping it was in a php file somewhere, lol. Copy and paste in a new block....Wishfull thinking.

Cheers

Porky

Sorry to hear what happen to your site, but it happens. Make backups regularly to prevent loss of data, And good luck getting your new site up

Polymath

Thanks Porky.

Too many hours at work and was a little tired when upgrading..uploaded/over wrote a few extra things from other sites I have that didn't agree with SMF and tries to fix it in a hurry (had otherthings needing done) and it just blew it into matrix.

Too much on one computer and losing site of where things are.

The hard part is not giving up and deciding to rebuild.

It helps having a wife that don't want to have me annoy her with my grumpy attitude.  :2funny:
