Shoutbox from TP is it available as a standlone mod for SMF w/o TP?

I'm working on a new site that will not use the TP, but will use the SMF.  I would like to use the shoutbox from the TP.  Is it available as a mod only for SMF?

Nope.  The TP Shoutbox is completely integrated within TP itself.  It's not a seperate module that can be applied outside of TP.  In order for you to use the TP Shoutbox, you'll need to have TP installed.

Other options however, are some of the shoutbox mods on SMF's site.

Go to http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php and search "shoutbox". There are currently two shoutbox modifications that support the SMF 1.1 (final) series.
