Recent Posts

I search this first didn't really find anything about "recent" or "recent post - posts"

So this is what bothers me, yes i know there are recent posts with TP but i just cant figure out how do recent post really should be displaying?

Example: i create topic you replay to that topic and then your friend replays to that topic , now i would think your and your friends posts are "recent" correct? Well on my page is always whoever posted "first" and I don't like it that way.
Anyhow i can change that?

Doubtful unless you want to rewrite one of the SMF SSI's. TP is only using what already exists as part of SMF.

If you mean the "recent" type of block in TP, its not really "recent Posts" - its "recent Topics" and as such will always show the first post in the topic, along with a "new" symbol if there are new replies in that topic. The last added post will then determine the time.

So is there like any way i could make my recent posts on front page as i have recent "topics" right now?

Oh yes.

There is both "recent topics" and "recent posts" fucntion in SSI.php. TP recent blocktype just calls recent Topics, but you use the same call for posts. Then all new posts, replies or not, will get displayed.

But what code do you use for your frontpage? Just ssi_recentPosts(); ?

Normal, frontblocks are shown alone

Thats all i have on front page, so i dont know exactly what is it using ?

ah, thats the "BoardNews()" function, that TP rely on to fetch whole posts from forum, from selected boards only.

So you want to show recent Posts, displayed as single title-only lines then?

Yeah i would like to have same as i have now but "posts" so for example my post that i just posted let say i want people to see whats the name of the topic and what i posted.
