Haven't seen any mention of a links block.

It seems a standard module on a lot of portals, so what's the chances Bloc?

bloc

A link manager - or collection of links for block? Menu manager is supposed to cover the latter though.

redeye

More of a link manager.
The current menumanager works just fine.

But you can create one just as easy. Catagories and all...

Just create a block and put your links in it.

The problem is, that part that has to be inserted into teh head section. Is it possiable to do that in a javascript/html block? I tried, but no luck...

There sure is a way. Take all the code and make a single html file. Then make a php block on one of your sidebars or centerbars. Then just put this in the block to call it.
include('link/link.html');

Of course, just change the path and file name to match what you need. Here's the html file that I made and did it with. Just change the links to what ever you need. You can even change the pictures.

Must test this out. I have an html block with loads of links. This will tidy it all up into catagories.

Gott it to work using a php block with the include. Real hard to get it formatted. As you'll see from the screenshot it leaves about 1cm from the left, blank, then when the menu opens, it throws everything off the side of the page. Tried to take away the margins, but no joy.

Reducing the font size to 8pt does make it fit, but tis too small to read. Really need to fid out how to get rid of the 1cm left margin that it throws in.

Try this html file. I changed the margins and padding to make it scrunch a little to the left.
