Hi,

i saw a nice comment function on SimpleMachines.org:
http://blogs.simplemachines.org/dev/

Does anyone know how they coded that? In their forum is a board for these blogs so it must be a SSI thing.
The comments function of this "blog" is nice. For every topic they have a "comments.html" page.

I don't want to use the standard comment system which links to the threads because in our forum there still are threads for every news - so we don't need a second thread for news.
The comment system on SM.org would be okay for us :)

Here's a little description:

Looks like the wikipedia theme, but more advanced because it has a the "Other entries in this blog" thingy... :P

Tommy

It's not only a theme - on SimpleMachines.org you can see the news "blog" or the board in the support forum.  :coolsmiley:

Then it might be a theme...because you can set a different theme to different boards if you wanted to that will override the default theme. :P

Tommy

Yep I know but on SimpleMachines.org the blog board in the forum has the standard theme. I think they used SSI on the comment pages.

...the URLs are not the same as in the forum:

Lol they probably made that portal system themselves then. :P

Tommy

..and don't want to public this  ::)

Jpg

Well they made the smf software...this was probably a piece a cake to develop... :P
