Worst site admin award?

If you ever have a worst site admin award I feel strongly I'd win:

*Messed with code and crashed site two days ago.
      -Reinstalled all and added a bunch of content.
*Cleaning out web space accidentally deleted my site folder!!!
      -Reinstalled again today and am adding everything al over again.



Up side: My host upgrade from SQL 4 to 5 yesterday so I jumped on that and got UTP-8 capabilities now!

been there done that and learnt the hard way too!!

it's just not fun having to reinstall, even less fun when due to IDtenT error!!!

Now whenever I "play" I make a full back up first!

Thanks for the empathy grabman,

I have my ftp program set for daily backups now and I do the db full backup myself.

Meh, I think everybody has been there, done that and I burnt the T-Shirt.
I been lucky enough not to have lost lots of posts. As I mentioned, I have had my webhost restore the site on a few occasions from an automatic backup.
Got to do it before the host backs up again in the state the site is in. I think you said that the host you are with wanted a fee for restoring one folder.

I will definatly set up a test site on my local machine, try all my tinkerings out on that before killing my live site again.

You should see what you can do with repair settings.php or having both your test site and your main site open in your FTP prog.
