You don't need the require at all when inside TP articles or blocks, its already loaded, so you can simply add a call to recentTopics(); and that would be it.

I know many like some more info on how to use the system as it currently stands, therefore I am working on setting up examples of working sites - with detailed explanations on each item, so you can duplicate it on your own site.

Okay hmmm...Bloc, how come when I put the command to show recent topics in a phpBox it didnt show? All that showed was the box, with the title "recent topics" but nothing was there.

Also, quick question bloc for the front page of your site, are those two separate articles? The problem is I can only have one article on "Featured" :(

Bloc posted in here somewhere how he have made this frontpage.
But it is shown as one page only, then he have added 3 diffrent articles on that page with layout c if i remember correct.

Search and you might find it
Hey G6, I did that search and could only find this topic and the topic, "The Current TinyPortal Homepage" which doesn't explain the code use to do this. Do you still have this location on you anywhere or what keywords to search for, I used, "Tinyportal Homepage"

I hate to ask yet another question, but if you look at my front page (http://philosophy-forums.com) on the left there are two paragraphs introducing my website, but beneath that miny-article it says http://philosophy-forums.com in dark blue. Why is that? It looks like the text used above the forum for the forum path, but why is it just floating in space on my front page?

Thanks.

I still wanna know how bloc did the front page.

For some reason I can't get two articles to rest side by side, one always goes on top of the other instead of having a right article and a left article.

Meh, I tried layout A, B and C and they don't change anything :(

IchBin

The articles side by side are a layout option in the frontpage settings.

The articles side by side are a layout option in the frontpage settings.

I am aware of that.

But then what other settings do I use for front page?

Do I set it for just show articles?

Or show front page blocks?

How can I get it to work?

What is the code that is used on the front page of Tiny portal?

What is the code that is used on the front page of Tiny portal?

I'm wondering the same thing...

bloc

Its 3 articles set to show on frontpage, the number of articles is set to 3...and the left one is set as featured, with layout C for the frontpage settings. Featured article has also no borders or title displayed. And finally the frontpage shows "articles only".

Thats it. No html for the layout actually.
