SMF recent topics module for Mambo CMS?

[Arba]

Is it posiblle to ad a recent topics module in Mambo CMS without mambo-smf integration?
Only what I need is some option to show  new topics from  forum in my mambo portal, nothing else.
I had mambo-smf hack and during that time my forum was like in twilight zone  ,I dont wont that expirience again

This is a site based on TinyPortal, a portal mod for SMF. I am afraid no code here will work directly in Mambo.(I don't even know how module system works in Mambo/Joomla )

Just feel free to ask... But I think you stand a better chance of getting answers over at the mambo section of simplemachines.org. Both SMF+Mambo and pure SMF questions.
