    Hello

I've setup a RSS feed block but all it shows is an clickable icon. What i'm trying to do is show the contents of the feed in the block, preferably scroll or auto scroll. Currently using SMF 1.1.1. and latest TP.

Here is the feed i'm trying to setup - http://www.viruslist.com/en/rss/latestvirusdescriptions

Any help would be much appreciated.

                                                             Thanks.

You have to change the block type to RSS and put the link to the feed in it.

Yes, i created an RSS block and put that code into it and it works. However, there's only an icon that when you click it, takes you to that location. I want the contents of that feed to show in the block not the clickable icon.

Well it works on my test site so I don't know what to tell you. Are you sure your block looks like this?

edifier

Could you please show me what the finished block looks like on your test site now.  Thanks.

I have a Metal Hammer feed, left side of home page.. very easy to set up.
I'm working on several in an article page using center blocks.

Thanks to both of you for helping so far.

My block only shows the 'Kaspersky Logo', no text. And obviously that block is much longer than what i would want. If i can somehow get it working, would it be possible to limit those definitions to say the first 3-5 of them?.

                                                          Thanks Again.

You have to use a 3rd party script to get those kind of options. I don't know of any off hand, but I'm sure you can find some with google until someone comes around with a link in here for you.
