I changed forum from phpBB2 to SMF for my bike rally website, and added Tinyportal.  Needless to say, I was impressed with the progress you guys have made although there is still room for improvement (dont we all have that!).  I am still pleased with the result that I have decided to make SMF/Tinyportal part of our site, NFLRoom.com 

So now my coder is wondering if it is possible for us to put hardcode php inside the block when it is set in phpbox mode??  The reason we asked about it is because we have ranking system that fetch info from the database based on what you earn playing fantasy games.  We thought it would be neat to add "My Ranking" and "Top 25" block that would display your actual result inside the block.  We are hoping it is possible so we could set its permission to registered members so "My Ranking" block will show up after you login, which makes more sense to display your ranking only when you are logged in.

It sure is possible. Just make sure you leave out the <?php and ?> . You may require some tweaking to get it to work, but there's nothing I don't think some of our coders couldn't handle to help you out with.
