I hope this is the right place.

Does anyone know how to increase the size of avatars in the forum and in the user menu on TP? For example I am looking to make all my avatars somewhere around 130Width X 270Height.

I have searched around on both TP and SMF and couldn't find the answers. I may not be putting in the right words on a search but I am searching for "avatar width height".

I apperciate any help give....

rebelrose

look in your admin panel, Attachments and Avatars, Avatar settings  ;)

I have that set for what I am looking for the avatar still shows up as 33x65...

rebelrose

That is the only area I know of that controls the avatar size  ???

Ghostwriter

I have everything set to how it should be!

So I am not sure, perhaps I will look around for a code to enlarge it or something. Thanks for your help though RebelRose.

SMF use a "already-cooked" variable for the avatar, so you can't actually put in a new width and height in the avatar variable. It contains the whole <img> tag.

Ghostwriter

Ahh, well let me ask you this, what if in the <img> tag I added in the height and width, do you think that would work?

If not, then I can live with the setting that is there, it isn't a big deal at all...

Thanks for the Reply Bloc....

Thats the point..the theme only reference $context['user']['avatar'] which can be empty or a img tag, but you can't insert anything because you don't know what it contains, only the output.

Ghostwriter

Well that ain't right....Oh well, I can live with the size it is...Thanks for your input Bloc.....

The height may be the problem I have avatar sizes adjusted at my 2 sites 1 at 100x100 and the other site at 125x125 and the larger sizes display with no problem. And remember the images of the avatar's have to be the same dimensions as the settings you set or they won't display properly
