1,000,000 dollars... hahaha... oh my god, who would pay that?  that's crazy...

akulion

seriously the money would just be wasted totally

it would be better off helping fight illiteracy or any of the other human conditions which are effecting our society

The woman who runs the salon where Britney burst in (as they were locking up for the night) was on Scarborough (MSNBC) last night. She mentioned that proceeds would go toward wigs/hairpieces for kids undergoing chemotherapy.

I am sure some money will get donated, but I am with Aku that most wont be. There are several stories citing donations to be made to various charities, but who knows for sure.

One source, Access Hollywood
"A source from the salon confirmed to Access Hollywood earlier today that they are planning to sell Spears' lost locks on eBay. They will donate a portion of the hair collected from the crop to the Britney Spears Foundation, which was the salon's own idea."

Another source, BBC News
"The salon's website offers bidders an "opportunity of a lifetime" and says a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various unnamed charities."

Yet another source, 24dash.com
"The salon owner's husband, JT Tognozzi, said some of the proceeds from the sale would go to charity, including perhaps a Florida organisation called Locks of Love, which supplies wigs to children with cancer."
