As I loged in as admin can't see forum

:smiley6600: As I was playing with settings, after one of the send commands the forum dissapeared. Only the very top pannel is left. After I logout, forum IS visible. I also tried to register for the forum s new user, everything is fine (could login and see forum's insides...


I do have a backup of all forum files before TP was installed. Should I try to redo everything?... Sorry, I can't tell which exactly option I was editing...

It might be TPortalAdmin.template.php.  But if you have only adjusted setting, perhaps you should check if this also happens in the default theme. If it does, then it is a setting, and not a bug. But if the default theme is not messed up, then it's a bug in the oxygen theme. You do have an TP Oxygen theme and not a regular Oxygen theme installed? Right?

This looks like a test board, so is this the first TP theme tested?  Can you check the MySQL database and confirm the creation of the fields needed to run TinyPortal?

This is all I can see when I login as admin (but not when I login as a member), and there is nothing else on the page.

Therefore I cannot change back to default theme. No matter wich button I press it stays like that. And yes, Oxygen-TP was "engaged", not just Oxigen. I had Oxigen and Mercury (as well as Mercury-TP) also installed, but I disallowed them from admin area for the use. Could this be a problem? Is XXTheme-TP is a "stand alone" thingy?
By the way, do TP versions of themes (their files) have everything needed, or one has to have enable the non TP themes too.
Also, there seems to be some duplication in forum settings in admin area vs tpadmin (like forum width, for instance). Which admin area should be used for such setting? Could it be that tpadmin settings, IFÂÃ,  in conflict with admin ones would cause a type of problems that I have.

To this end, perhaps a suggestion might be that TPadmin section should not have any of the overlapping admin ones. Basically make XXTheme-TPs as add ons to XXTheme files AND XXTheme-TP cannot be applied to the forum as stand alone.

I can give the login info via PM to Bloc or to whoever he thinks I could trust via PM in case you want to check the problem yourself.

The width in TPAdmin is optional..and only the specific theme will use it if it is aware of it. Typically TP themes do not consider any width in current theme settings, but rather the one in TPadmin instead. It will not cause the error you have.

I suspect the error is something in the blocks..that will stop it rendering. Do you recall having blocks for members only?

The index.php?theme=1 did gave me the default forum view, but as I loged in as admin, I got back to that top bar only of the oxigen. I've had as a setting for use of Oxygen only.

Bloc, "blocks for members only" is a possibility...

Anyway, I don't want to take your time, especially that I cannot provide the exact reason. I do have a backup to restore to pre-TP state. I'll just redo and will try to be carefull. I have one question though: If I want to have oxygen-TP to be the only theme that users can choose, do I need oxigen AND oxigen-TP (both enabled?) only, or I still have to get default-TP?

If you have TP installed you will want the TP version of the oxygen theme. I don't have to have the default available to members if you don't want to.

If you have TP installed, I recommend not using any non-TPthemes.

If your using TP on your site, use the "TP_oxygen" and remove "Oxygen". You don't need both.

I feel it's better this way to avoid any problems.

Go to: admin > current theme > theme settings > remove (X) oxygen theme. Then delete the folder. be sure to uninstalll it before deleting the folder.
