I was playing around with the article manager and made a new category called "article" then I decided to delete it and I got this message, "Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

I closed the browser and deleted the cookies in internet options. I then opened the  drowser and tryed deleting it again and got the same message.

I tryed a search on the issue and found nothing.

Anyone have a clue?

Delete the temp internet files in the browser cache to and see if it helps

Is the URL in your browser window, the same URL as the one in your Admin Panel > Server Settings?

Hankster

Sorry men, The real job has too many hours in a day !

G6: I tryed both and that did not solve the problem.

I'll give you an image as too what I'm looking at.

So,IchBin, this is the URL that I'm taken too, does this make any sence to you ??     http://www.apwu.us/index.php?action=tpadmin;catdelete=4,sesc=5f08c93ecf9486bc8f86625ac1d1e416

O.K. Men, It looks like I've got more problems that I thought. I looked in the Error Log a place that I said I would never go, and found five pages of errors. Now I'll have to go in the manul and read up on this to understand what all this means. This is a image of what I'm looking at.

HAY! It would'nt be as simple as clicking the " clear filter " what ever that is ?

Seems like you have search friendly urls checked or have some mod installed that causes this.

Check if you have search friendly URLs checked in your SMF Admin panel.

Admin/Configuration/Features and Options/ A bit down the list you have "Search engine friendly URLs
Apache only!" If it's checked, Uncheck it and see if it helps.

And yes, you can clear the filter and remove the errors, and then browse around and see if it works for you now.
Then check the error log again and see if there is any new error.

Thanks for the idea's G6. I looked to see if the "friendly URL" was checked and it was not. The only mod I have installed is the Tiny Portal, if you call it a mod. I wonder if this is a problem that I had when I reinstalled Simple Machine.

Let me try to explain: I originally installed Sinple Machine in a folder called forum. Then installed Tiny Portal. Then I discovered "ww.apwu.us" URL or the index file would not provide the correct link. I corrected the problem by deleting everything and reinstalling Simple Machine in the index file and reinstalling Tiny Portal. For some reason I had to correct the links. The software was still looking for smiles and attachments in the forum folder. I had to remove the word "forum/" from a number of places. Do you think this is still a  problem ?

I hope I explaned that well enough. I don't have internet vocabulary.

if u moved ur forum directory then u will have to run the repairsettings.php file available from the Downloads -> Tools area on SMF

that should fix all ur 'rouge URLs'
