I have selected "Both forum and articles - sorted on date" in the settings, but something is wrong with the order.

How are the forum posts chosen? Randomly from the selected topics?

It displays not all the time the latest post in the topic, sometimes it displays the fourth on the frontpage.
Should it not display them sorted by date, means, the latest post in a topic should be visible on the frontpage and not the fourth or fifth?

Greetings!

Sorry, this is not an answer but an addition to the question, which may be explain something.

I played around with the front page settings and noticed that, if I display "Both forum and articles - sorted on date" the latest forum post is missing or ââ,¬Å"hiddenââ,¬Â behind the article.
In combination with the sort order ââ,¬Å"oldest firstââ,¬Â and (for example) 4 posts to show on front page the frontpage looks like

Article____Post
Text______4th post
__________3th post
__________2th post

The newest one is missing and so it gives the impression (maybe) that the post are randomly selected, especially when more than one board is shown on frontpage.

So the questions are:
How to change the sort order and
How to manage that all posts are shown on the right side (layout C) and articles on the left.

To make this more visual, I like to refer so my frontpage.

At the very top, you can see the ââ,¬Å"latest newsââ,¬Â in headlines. I fetch them with SSI from the some board I choose in the ââ,¬Å"Show forum-posts on front page from:ââ,¬Â

You will notice that the newest post is missing and the oldest is shown first.

Thanks for mindfulness

I would like that too
How to manage that all posts are shown on the right side (layout C) and articles on the left.

This is not possible currently with TP. I would suggest you post in the suggestions board if you'd like such features.
