Whats the easiest way to improt from phpBB ?

Hi peeps
We`re having a lot of trouble importing a phpBB forum (fortunately very small), to a smf/tp setup (thanks to me  :laugh:. Trouble is, is that the converter doesn`t like it. So i wondered if there`s a sort of easyish manual way to do it.

Isn't conversion dependent on the version of the PhPBB?

At the moment it`s phpBB 2, but it`s something to to with the databases i think, that we`re having trouble with. That`s why i wondered if there`s another way to do it. I`ve posted over at SMF, but we all know how slow they are over there to answer anything.

If its so slow, feel free to read the forums and gain enough knowledge so that maybe you could help out. Then you can join the team and become the converter master.

As it is, SMF only has like 1 or 2 people who are able to watch the converters and try and fix them if something doesn't work. SMF is growing so fast that its hard to find people who are willing and able to help. So if you know people who are able to do this, send them over to SMF to help out.

As always, you seem to critisize in a sarcastic manner rather than offer help. Some people are better at certain things than others. If you can`t, or don`t want to help. Then do me a favour and don`t post anything !

It never ceases to amaze how people can complain about things they get for FREE. I'm sorry you took it the wrong way Paulie, and I even added the smilies in for gesture. I guess from now on I'll just lock these threads that have nothing to do with TinyPortal.
