i currently have a site with SMF 1.1.1 & Tiny Portal. I just saw in my admin panel that there is an update for SMF & it says to install it. I saw that it replaces the index.php file.

If I do the update will it screw up TP???

My question too along the lines of this topic :) ....
It has the ssi.php and all that which I have modified so I can display the poll block and vote from the homepage and god knows what else so is it the same ssi.php just saying at the top the version or should i use the ssi.php?

i updated 5 of my sites today without any issues (knock on wood).  i don't think i lost any functionality of my mods.  for all the bugs that it addressed and all the mods I have, it was a seamless update.

just be sure to do a backup beforehand.

SMF 2.0 RC3
TP 1.0 beta 5-1
Wordpress 3.0

I updated from the Package Manager area of my forum, if that's the auto update?   There was a link there informing me of patch and it installed it automatically from there.  No use of FTP'ing files or anything like that.
