frontpage settings - both forums and articles (can't restrict it to one forum)

I'm trying to set the front page to "both forum and articles - sorted on date" ... AND ... restrict what goes to the front page to a single board.

Restricting the front page to a single board works  when "only forum" is selected - but this feature doesn't work when "both forums and articles" are selected.

When selecting "Both forum and articles - sorted on date" , the "show forum posts on front page from" selection is ignored.  :-\

I'm not sure if this is intended behavior, a bug - or I just don't get it ... but it sure would be nice to restrict what gets promoted to the front page to a particular forum and have the ability to show articles as well.

BTW, I almost got front page blogging working with this  ;)  By only having one article promoted to the front page and changing that to a date out in the future - that article stays at the top.  By changing the sorting algorithm of a particular forum to chronlogical by new topic only ... the front page is looking like a blog as all the forum posts from that board only are displayed.

It should take the posts from the same board regardless of "only forum" or "forum and articles". Its the same - only the first don't add the articles in.
