how to hide author name from article in a block?

How do you turn off Author's name in a article block?

I turned it off in the article itself but the Block always shows the person's name.

I want a list of articles (I have like 20 of them). But I don't want each line items in the block to show authors name next to the title.

You can easily make just a list of the articles, with links to them in an html block. Or you can make your own category block, if you want it to update the category list on its own. (I just wrote the code for one of those yesterday.) Or you can list all of your articles, updating whenever you add a new one. The beauty of creating your own block is that you can make it however you want and you can change it around if you change your mind without having to edit files.

The problem is I intend to make a huge FAQ article with categories and sub categories. It will probably have 100 or so articles. What is the best way of doing this so it follows the article tree hierarchy? or is there a better way?

Make a board as TP does and choose a theme like Wikistyle to show up which is like in FAQ format

Jake, it would take a bit of thinking, but you could set it up with articles and a php block. Or you could set it up as boards and subboards as Brian suggests. What's the best way? Whichever way you want. There's almost always multiple ways of doing anything. It just depends on which way you like better.

If you look at the tp faq that is an example of what it would look like if you set it up with boards. But if you want it to look like an faq set it to open with that theme and read only

Why don't you just go to manage articles, select the article and under the options tab turn of show author......

That works as well but he also said he wants it in FAQ form
