problem with rss

when a rss feed isn't loading, the site stops working also... :-(

For example, http://www.vid.nl/VI/_rss gives this error when loading in a seperate window: Bad Gateway, The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

When I disable the block, the site loads fine. Any idea how to deal with this?

What is the url of the feed you are using?

the one I mentioned in the above post. I just checked it again, and at the moment the link doesn't giveÂÃ,  the bad gateway error (anymore)

I am not sure it can be solved...maybe some sort of test of the connection..but it will still hang I think.

I looked into it, and it seems you have to download a banner to make it work.

Most feeds I use end with .xml
