Removing MK Portal and installing Tiny Portal

Right now we are using MK Portal with SMF 1.1.1.  I know that I have to get rid of all files pertaining to MK, but my question then is this which version of TP do it install with my SMF , and since there is none to go with my theme will TP pick up the colors or the SMF theme that I have installed.

TinyPortal v097 = Will install with SMF 1.1 and below
TinyPortal v0971 = Will install with SMF 1.1.1 and below

If you would like to use TinyPortal you must use the themes provided here on TinyPortal even if you have it installed. If you are using a curtain SMF theme that you would like to use with TinyPortal please use the crip board and find it there or make a request with crip

Ok well we are using Reberose's Puppy Tales 1, and I do not see that here, I actually see very few here that will work with SMF 1.1.1 so that was the other part of my question is there just a basic TP that will pick up the color in my SMF theme

The thing that you will want to do is to set up SMF in a separate place other than your "live" site and install TP there, using the default theme. You can then try to use the css file for the theme you're using now with the default theme and see if it'll work. It might work just great. If not, you can see about working with crip to alter your theme to work with TP.

The only way to know for sure is to experiment and the only way to experiment is to have your own experimental area to play around with.

Thank you all for your answerers to my question.  The designer of the SMF theme we are using was good enough not only to customizes our theme, but also do a TP to match THANK REBLEROSE!
