Hi All,
how do I do the easiest backup of all the block content
and the script modules inside the blocks ?

Is it all stored inside the database or where is it stored ?

When I want to install new the SMF 1.1.1 and TP 0.9.7.1
what is the right method first to backup all my content and then
reinstall all and have the same block content again as before ?

Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.
P.S:If this is in a FAQ somewhere I did not find it,so just point me
to a link if an answer already exists, many thanks.

just copy paste them into notepad

example: (denotes where the block was)

recent post block (front page)
==================
code
==================

some other block (on a article)
===============
ya more code
===============

I think most are stored in the data base, I know this because I have moved my whole site to a test site, and the blocks and content are still there

Exactly this is what I want to avoid !
Then I would have to copy and paste at least 10 to 20 blocks each time !

That is too time consuming !

Do the blocks content really get stored inside the database too ?

Has anyone else tried this ?

Many thanks.

Why don't you create an article and then using your ftp or file manager look in your webspace to see if any files have been added or updated?   If not, then the articles are in the database.   Try looking in Attachments, too.

All the TP settings and the content in articles and blocks is stored in the database. I have used old backup databases on many occasions for test sites everything appears as when you saved it.

When u take a backup of your database for SMF, then ALL TP settings and articles and blocks are automatically backed up with it.

the datacan be found in smf_tp_articles and smf_tp_blocks tables

smf_ = may differ if u used a different smf installation prefix for the tables
