wow..this is very impressive. I have seen that mod elsewhere and was thinking then it would be cool to have something like for SMF. Never got around to it though, a tiny mod called TP craved all my attention ;D..but great that someone picked it up.

I saw you asked about GD functions..but it seems to work fine now? Any other big hurdles you need help on..?

Wow...thanks Bloc!  You are one of those people that I greatly respect your opinion when it comes to coding...so to have you respond is nice!

Actually it is not so much a hurdle, but I would like to have it refresh using ajax instead of the standard html page reload but I know nothing at all about AJAX.
I'll have to tell ya though, TP has been a much better site than SMF, you guys (all of you) ROCK!  of all the boards related to SMF i HAve posted this on, this is the ONLY site that I have gotten any real response from.

@Gargoyle
well, see that is an additional beauty of my mod...I intend to give it functionality for the shop as well!

I have joined your site, and want to be a beta tester ( i posted in that thread )

I need permission like you gave G6. Thanks,
Brianjw

technodragon73

done!

OH, and Bloc...or anyone reading this for that matter...if you have any experience using the unlink function in php I could use a hand with something...

akulion

lol tech dont worry i dont have it installed

that was a trap to cause some rucukus on everyone to rush to be alpha testers :2funny:

but no one fell for it lol

technodragon73

ROFL

It did work...we have four (or was it five) people who signed up to be beta testers just today!

Ajax I am a bit unfamilar with myself :) , but the unlink function..what do you have trouble with there?

akulion

good stuff
the admin panel is cool and very good farsight of integrating with shop!
Excellent - this has to be one of the best though out mods yet to hit the smf crowd.

Made an avatar works out pretty well
but just one thing, the items could use a small text description under it maybe like "eye patch" etc etc cos many of them just cant be understood what they are until after u try em out

but either ways great one!

Actually, I finally figured it out...and it was a silly thing too...for my path I had been using $boardurl where i should have been using $boarddir.  That simple change made it work properly!  thanks for replying thouhg.  And I have been finding out a lot of people know php, and javascript, but AJAX knowledge is hard to find!  LOL

Well, the items descriptions I added just to get them in the database.  There are over 3000 images that I had to put into the database all at once (male and female combined) and I just didn't have time to name and describe all of them.  SO I just defaulted to the category title with no description (for the most part)  the items I had been adding using the admin interface though are the ones that you'll find have a load of information.

A lot fo the ideas came from a few friends of mine that helped in the planning stages when I announced I wanted to make a version for general use.  All of what I found on theinternet did not allow any real control over what you could or could not do, and none of them would allow you to truly integrate into a forum.  So I created the standalone version first to get the foundation ready, then I just went from there.  BAsically I am setting it up for the features  I can think MAY be useful without oversizing the maker or filling it with options or features that may not be used.

So thanks again for your guys/gals interest and help!

Unfortunately when I first started coding this I had a large number of images already that needed to be input into the database.  As a result most of the items were just generically labeled because I used a csv to enter them. so as a result most of the items were given a generic name and description.

When will this mod come available and where can it be displayed?
