In the left panel of our new SMF forum http://www.bigislandforum.org/forums/index.php, just under my ShoutBox, there's a hyperlinked menu item named "Downloads." How do I remove this?

Thanks,

Kerry

It's a block. Try disable "Permission" block in Block Manager.

Admin/TinyPortal/Settings/Modules/ turn the Download module off (if you dont have any content in the download section.)

Or remove the block as it show on auto there when the download module is active

Kerry

Thanks G6 that did it.

iwyen, I didn't have a need to try your trick but thanks.

What if you want the Downloads module, but not the link? Actually, I'd like the link, but don't want the forced one up top. I'd like to add it myself where I want, like the others.

Add something like this to a script block
<a href="http://www.your-site.com/index.php?action=tpmod;dl">Downloads</a>

And if you want it to look real fancy try this in a script block, but dont forget to replace your-site.com with your url  ;)

<a href="http://www.your-site.com/index.php?action=tpmod;dl" class="sitemap_header"><img border="0" alt="" src="http://www.your-site.com/Themes/default/images/TPdivider.gif" /> <strong><font size="2">Downloads</font></strong></a>
