Did you use this ")" instead of "}" this in any of your editing?

I just followed the instructions in the "TP_mod-instructions.rtf"-file. Replace, add after or add before and stuff like that. I'm really confused @_@ :buck2:

Hi there

I've been using tinyportal since the start, but I'm now having a problem.  My forum is currently using  SMF 1.0.5 with TinyPortal v.0.75 and all the free themes currently available.  I decided to update the forum to SMF 1.1 RC1 but as always I tried it out on my test site first.  Having upgraded the forum to SMF 1.1 RC1, TinyPortal dissapeared as I though it probably would.  I therefore used the Package Managed to re-install TinyPortal which said it installed fine.  On clicking the restart to view the forum llink - everything is now blank....no main page at all.

I've since tried everything I can to get this to work with SMF 1.1 RC1, even wiping the whole webspace and installing a brand new version of SMF 1.1 RC1. but every time I try and add Tiny Portal it comes up as a blank page.  I thought it might be my database interfering with the installation so I've even tried a completely blank database, but the result is the same...just a blank page.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

thanks

Yes. This is a bug in RC1 that will make some files copied/extracted by package manager 0 in size. Simply apply TP as a mod, then BFORE starting again, upload all the TP files from the TP_manual_install through ftp, overwriting them, then start the forum.

Superb!!   ;D

Im confused also, I cant find some of the lines of text to add after or replace..its like it stops listing what file it sin about half way through the doc and I just downloaded it today.

It only modifies the default theme rhigareda. If you're trying to do it on another theme you'll have to figure out how it works. Or you can just download one of the TP themes from this site. :)

This is on a fresh install of SMF with no extra themes or antyhing like that, when I get to this part of the instructions:
d.) search for:
               <img src="', $settings['header_logo_url'], '" alt="', $context['forum_name'], '" border="0" />';
add after:
// TinyPortal
     if($context['TPortal']['showtop']==1)
     {
// TinyPortal end

I loose where to go next.

How come you're editing things manually? You try the manual installation method?

Are you saying you can find that code that it tells you to search for?
When I search for that code I find it pretty easily. Approx line 204.

        if (empty($settings['header_logo_url']))
                echo '
                                        <span style="font-family: Georgia, sans-serif; font-size: xx-large;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>';
        else
                echo '
                                        <img src="', $settings['header_logo_url'], '" alt="', $context['forum_name'], '" border="0" />';
