I was wondering if there was a way to add types to the block editor.

for example, these are the only options to choose from:

userbox - user information + login form for guests
searchbox - search field
themebox - theme selector block with thumbnails
phpbox - execute PHP codes
ssi function - run chosen SSI function
sitemapbox - show active modules + any menu manager item set to sitemap
categorybox - show a listing of articles from a category
newsbox - show the news
bbc/htmlbox - execute html or bbc codes
shoutbox - show the shoutbox module
scriptbox - execute html+javascript codes
module function - run chosen module function
admin tools - show your TP permissions
statsbox - show forum statistics
onlinebox - show online users
menubox - show menu items from the menu manager
recentbox - show recent topics
rss feed - show a RSS feed
articlebox - show a single article

I was looking at the recent.php file and ssi.php file and saw alot more functions in there that aren't included as choices for block types.

Can someone tell me how to add them?

You can for example call an SSI function from the SSI.PHP into a php block, if you look into the block code snippets you will many ways to do so.

SRaven

I tried calling a SSI function, it didn't work. Could you tell me where these block code snipets are? The only block code snipets in the download section are for Karma. and I don't see anything about them anywhere else, not even by using the search function, thanks.

SRaven

Ok, I must have been flippin' blind...thanks :)

I accidently (on pupose - trying to flesh out errors) deleted my user login block that was on the left side, now I still have the standard one on the menu but users seem to want that left side login block back. When I go to that link above to look for the snippet, it says its moved or I am not allowed to look at it (and yes I am logged in when I click on it). Can anyone point me to the login block or the snippet somewhere so I can get it back on board?

JPDeni

Just create a userbox. If the user isn't logged in, it is a login box.

OH. Now that is clearly a big duh moment. I thought that is what is was, because I recall thats the box I nixed, but since I am always logged in...

Thank you for not pointing and laughing...outloud. :P

JPDeni

No problem. :) We all have   "duh" moments. :uglystupid2:
