First off if you use SMF's webinstall.php file to update your SMF forums to the latest 1.1 release. You will find the your TP will disappear. I just about freaked when this happened to me. Especially since when I tryd to just install TP again it told me the files already existed and that I should delete them...!  But after looking into the index.php file and the backup I made I noticed the differences and reasons why TP wasn't working. To fix this all I had to do is replace the new index.php file with the old. But you need to make sure you edit 2 things in the old index.php file. Actully both things are the same. Just in different places. You need to look for where it says 1.1 RC3 and take out the RC3. That will fix an issue with the forums still saying you still have smf 1.1 RC3 installed. After the switch your TP will come back alive. and everything should be working great.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Anytime you update or upgrade you're forum its more than likely you're going to lose the TP install.

and always test it out in a separate area of ur site before goin ahead

im jus gona wait for the next tp ;)

I wonder if you really got the fully upgrade if the only things you needed to change in order to get TP back were those you wrote.
I just upgraded my own forum and then installed TP back in there, but i had to edit all the SMF files again in order to have all TP features going correct again.

Even not replacing the index.php file and trying to reinstall TP does not work. TP doesn't show at all untill I replaced the index.php file with the one I have backed up (this was on a test board).
