Any help will be apreciated. thank you

You need to use a php page instead of a html page. Read the guide here: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=400

Thanks that helped alot next if you would....I want to change the colors of links that it pulls from. Which CSS is it pulling that from the default theme? Is there a way to make it pull from another theme?

You could try a shtml page and use this code
I tested it in my smf root and named it test.shtml. you could pretty it up easily

Code Select Expand

<html>

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<title>New Page 1</title>
</head>

<body>
<!--#include virtual="./SSI.php?ssi_function=recentPosts" -->
</body>

</html>
