change url

HI,
i am wanting to change my url in the forum from

http://consumercorner.co.uk/forum
to
http://www.consumercorner.co.uk/forum 

I have searched but its not an easy one to search for. i just need the www. in the url

the reason being is i have spent weeks getting inbound links out there but just realised they include the www and naturally on my site the url doesnt show it, so google is showing everything as different pages when they are the same so traffic is getting split between the 2. hope all that makes sense

Usually there is a domain mnagement area where ur domain should allow you to specify how your page is accessible

there are normally 3 options

- with WWW
- without WW
- both

so ull have to ask them

hi, my main site does its just the forum for some reason, but i think i have worked  it out if i change the source for $scripturl but have no idea where that is ?

or am i totally off track ?

Sorted, i ran repair_settings.php from smf and changed the url in there

ohh sorry my mistake - i thought u meant by 'change ur forum URL' u meant how the page is accessible via the net
