If you dont specify the intro for aticles it will select lets say the first 200 words or the article. ;)

You already got limitation?... "Length of posts to show on frontpage(in characters):".

JayBachatero

Im talkinmg about if i choose to show a front page but the intro is automatically genrerated.

Do you mean like a "intro" page, that will redirect/change to another page after a few seconds or after clicking " enter site?

I just thought about it, I use SMF-mod "Static Page Mod" for the intro to most of my sites. Maybe you could use that?

JayBachatero

No I talking about when you write articles but you dont write an intro lets day 100 words will be selected automatically and create an intro for the article.  That way you dont have to write an intro and the rest of the article.

Ah, I see. You would still need to selct "use intro", but maybe a added option could be "use x words of main text as intro"?

Yea that would be nice.  If i pick Use intro the intro is automatically generated.  in admin panel i can select the # of words i want to show or use on article basis.
