Does anyone know how the way they are shown on the front page of this site (TP) these 2 are done - Recent Posts - Recents Downloads

For recent posts, just edit the code that is floating around to suit your needs - its in a giant thread called recent smf style or something like that. I have seen the recent or most popular downloads on some of stormlords themes also, so try a search of this site, his site, or even the block codes snippets.

Or just create a Block with the pre made settings that comes with TP package

SSI block, there are numerous different to choose from that are built in to TP as is

I don't mean to sound or be rude here so please don't take it that way, and thank you both for replying, BUT neither responses answer my question. If I knew php coding Mrs G I would have already done as you suggested and not even posted and looking thru post after post after post JRW I cannot find anything close to what is on the front page of this site. So can anyone actually answer how the recent posts and articles was done on the front page of this site or not?

I imagine that part of that is a guarded secret - ie bloc wouldnt want other TP looking sites around (hence BZ.12 theme not being available for download)... you never know though!

By default those blocks are already in the TP for you to.

Admin/TinyPortal/Block Manager/  here you create a block where you want it to be and choose to use the "module function"
When you choose the module functions, you will see the options of the module functions avaliable for you.

The options are

Downloads: Show x New Files
Downloads: Top x Downloads
Downloads: Top x Views
Downloads: Latest File Uploaded
Downloads: Top File in Downloads
Downloads: Top File in Views

Yes G I know that much, and they all look like nasty small printed squished information, not the nice medium large print, more info given, and looks better that is here, so does that mean this site gets better and the users get leftovers?

This site uses the exact same things as you have in your TP install. maybe some NEW features thats not implemented until TP V.097, but most of the features you have allready, and those you dont have are coming in the furure release/s.

What you see on this site is what you can do on your own if you know how to finetune your content more, exept for the theme, you should be able to have about every thing you can find on this site on your own.

The php information may be there - but the "look" of te information is totally different from what is seen here, as you know, what the average person gets when downloading and implementing TP is not the nice looking set-up seen on the front page here, but tiny, minimum info given, blocks.

And after all this still NO answer to my question.

I think i have to offer you a cup of tea now before you burst, i know the feeling when you want something, and no matter what you do, nothing seem to work.

They are probably made from SSI calls there, Bloc usually just write the code in to a table, so i dont think is to difficult to get that look, but as you, i dont know exactly how to.

Hopefully some one can jump in here and help you further, cause im lost now.
