TinyPortal v0.9.7

Ok I know this has been asked before, but I am basically on hold till an answer or another route is taken.  Is TinyPortal v0.9.7 available now, or will it be coming real soon?  I am on hold on progressing with a client site.  The other versions TP offer does not work on Simple Machine 1.0.9 version.  I am looking to install the TP with SMF and looking for a Blog to work with it.  The Version of SMF 1.0.9 is not compatible with the Blog offer in the SMF Mod site either.

Should I drop a version and install the SMF 1.1 RC3?  This will allow me to at least install a TinyPortal and the Blog, plus gallery using this version.  Or Should I just wait a little longer?

I am looking at converting my site to SMF and using TP, the only thing is there are lots of diff version to use and work with, so my question is what version of SMF and TP should be used together for a stable site creation, thanks for advance for any suggestions

well the only SMF which can be considered stable is 1.0.9

however ive been using the RC (release candidate) series with no problems at all since a year now and so has a huge bunch of other people

so personally i would recommend 1.1rc3 with tp0.96

keep in mind however TP is a beta software still but stable enough to use :up:

also u will probably ask this after u install it - nope the gallery, links and teampages have not been implemented yet - those are just dummy links lol

Ok thanks for that does that mean that SMF and TP does not come with some sort of album or links? And what is teampages?

When you install, in the Tinyportal administration, there are options to switch on "gallery" "links" and "teampage" modules. The backend is there for them (ie in the admin) but they dont actually exist in any usable form yet.

Teampage, Gallery and Links are all available as mods currently for SMF - I use them and they do the job fine

but in the future they will actually be incorporated into TP by bloc but no one can say when TP 1 Final is released

yes it is due for release soon but not yet available for download

bloc just put the button there to tease everyone on its arrival i think lol
