Can this be done.  I have a TP site I put together for someone. They are wanting to show it in a presentation with their group to get more people involved.  These are older people that are not very computer savy so the site needs to be available to show all the links such as register, search, etc.  Is there a way to save my entire tiny portal site on a CD so they can show it on a projector through a laptop (without internet).

Here is the kicker... They need it tomorrow morning!

I dont think that can be done, as TP and smf are php files, if it were html I think it could be done

Lesmond

just a thought could you take screen captures of some of the pages and put them in a slide show

There are a few different softwares which will allow you to do that

Here is a simple one:
http://www.easyphp.org/

You will have to learn to use it however.

It will basically install MYSQL and PHPMyadmin on to your PC.

So it is very possible to do that - thats a starting point, where, how etc...I cant give more details, since I only used this once to install a SMF forum on my PC but got bored after 2 days lol

Lesmond

but you cant do that unless the host computer in which you put the cd in has the  software for easyphp, but I could be wrong!

You can install easyphp (or the Wamp server or something like it) on any computer.

If you do a search for Wamp, there's a whole tutorial about how to install it and use it. It doesn't take very long and I found it quite easy to do.

If it's not your laptop, though, it'll be a problem because it does have to be installed on the computer you are using for your demo.

Porky

Why not set up a test site for them on the net...

Thanks for your help.  We ended up having access to the internet so everything went fine.
