Hi All,

I need a youtube embedded video portal site for my
subdomain:
http://video.overunity.com

My main domain is
http://www.overunity.com
an alternative energy related forum.

I would like to have it simular to:
http://www.wehavevideos.com
with a menu about the different video categories
with youtube videos.

Only  me as the admin should be able to add and
choose the videos from youtube to  embedd there.

But I wonder how much work it is to
integrate new videos ?

I would like to have it this way, that I
just only need to give some keywords into a script search form
and all the videos
which are found then in youtube about these keywords
are then automatically extracted
into my site via automatic embedd code extraction.

How can this be done automatically
and included into SMF 1.1.3 / TP 0.98
or via a different script, that I just from the SMF menu ?

I donÃ,´t want to include for every video the embedd code
manually myself into new threads in SMF, that is just too much manual work for it...

How could I extract the embed codes
automatically and import this into the categories
of any youtube clone script ?

It also has to support adsense and clickbank ads
around the videos, so I can position the ads for the best
clicking rates.

Also it would be great, if my users in myforum could
discuss the videos on my site and not on youtube.

But I just want to use the embedding, so I donÃ,´t need to host
the videos all by myself...
Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.

Disclaimer:  This is only my personal opinion :)

I think you are going a completely different direction than this software is meant to go.  While it would be neat to manage video's within TP I think that's a long, LONG way off.

This is just a question to satisfy my personal curiousity.  But why not host the videos yourself?  Is there a specific reason you want to piggyback off youtube?

Let's say someone much smarter than me decided to attack this project.  It would be great to host everything locally.

...there's a few video mods you can find over on the smf website.

they may do what you're looking for.

To host these videos myself would generate too much traffic.

Also the video mods I have at the SMF site are only
for including Flashmovies into a posting.

But I would need much smarter scripts, which can extract multiple
videos from youtube automatically and insert it into
several postings via keywords..

So not so easy to do with SMF/ TP, only with a lot of manual work,
by copying an pasting embedd codes into postings
which I want to avoid.
