Muliple Forum Registrations

I've got the following cry for help on the SMF boards, I thought I'd post it here as well. Maybe one of you wiz-bang-code-crackers can help.

I'm looking to modify the "register.php" of one installation of SMF so that anyone who registers will automatically be registered on another forum (same domain, different database). I'm not worried about sync'ing posts and any of that, I just want new members to have access to both forums but still have different stats.

If the good folks at SMF figure it out first I'll post it here. And if you guys come up with a solution, I'll post it there (and tell them where I got it, lol). Thanks.

I really don't know if you can do that but i might be wrong what i am saying...I think this can be done

There is quite a bit of info on SMF regarding sharing a DB table from one forum with two or more other forums. Look in the portals areas. You may need to be a Charter member to access the best info.
