The big letters are due to the use of <h3> title tags - but tp-style.css should correct it. Make sure your custom theme have a updated tp-style.css(if it uses it) and that tp-style.css in default theme is also up to date.

How to install/upgrade?

Just use the package manager and it will find the old TP files, it will happily upgrade from TP 1.0 betas - but from earlier versions you will need to un-install those first, then re-install beta5.

Note that TP is still considered as beta and it may still contain bugs. Make backups before attempting upgrade or install of TinyPortal.

So TP 1.0 beta 4 predates the TP 1.0 betas? Not sure I understand.

Basically what it says is to uninstall previous versions of TP. You won't lose any information that TP stores in the database.

Xarcell

Just do as it says.

Step 1.  Uninstall TinyPortal Beta 4 through package manager.
Step 2.  Download and Install TinyPortal Beta 5 through package manager.
Step 3. If everything is well do far, delete TinyPortal Beta 4 through package manager.

Done.

It's that simple. You don't even have to delete package if you don't want to, but I always do so I don't get confused later on down the road.

Always backup your files and database before anything.

Yes, TinyPortal Beta 4 is an old version. TinyPortal Beta 5 is the new version.
