this is part of the email I got

Quote from:  MicrosoftYou've been using WindowsÃ,® 7 for a while now, and we hope you've been enjoying a simpler PC. Because you've been a loyal customer, we're offering you Windows 7 at a great introductory price* - save up to 38% with Windows 7 Home Premium E, only Ã,£49.99 ERP, or save up to 47% with Windows 7 Professional E at Ã,£99.99 ERP. To take advantage of this deal,

IchBin, the price increase I saw was at PC World - last week it was Ã,£90 and now it's at Ã,£179.99.  That's for Professional, which is the one I ordered.  I am just guessing the pre-order period has come to an end elsewhere too.  But if you have friends in the right places...no need to worry.

Windows 7 seems to run better on older machines than Windows Vista eventhough both seems to use also the same resources.
