Hey gang,

I have a brand new installation of SMF 1.1.9 and TP 1.0 Beta 4. Here is what I want, but after 3 days of trying to get it to happen I came here for help:

I want a block over the main forum, this will be for AdSense (once approved). I want a javascript block under the forum with a webring that I belong to.

Sofar no matter how I layout the front page, either with articles, or frontpanels or whatever I cannot get a single block OVER the main forum. I do not want to get articles out on the front page. I want my users to have a single box over the forum with the adsense code. All I can seem to do is get front page with news made up of recent posts, which look nice but I want the users to see the forums, not single posts made recently.

I am really frustrated at this point because I think I have tried every possible iteration of block type, layout, front panel, upper panel, lower panel, that I can think of. I guess I am wondering why there is no block over main forum as a selection. It seems that either it is not available or it is called something else?

Sometimes when I select a front panel it just doesn't even show up.  I put the javascript code in using the <> and when I save it I see the "Powered by webring" but no images. When I look for it out on the main page the block isnt even showing up, no matter if I set it as left, right, upper, lower, top, bottom, its not even there. I have it activated. I have tried HTML/Javsascript, HTML/BBC and just about every other type with little to no luck.

In summary,

I cannot see a way to put a block over the main forum.
I cannot get a javascript block to even show up on the main page (activated).

Thanks

Freddy

Not sure if this will help - but did you also set the display options for the block - sometimes I forget that bit and wonder what's going on.

Solved!
I didnt see the [!] Choose where the block should appear.
[Show] [Hide] at the bottom. That did it!!! Thank you  O0

I knew it would be something simple. I was just so frustrated that I was missing the hidden options at the bottom of the setup. Thank you so much.
