I am having an issue with the "Insert Quote" feature not working in the Post form. It works fine in the Personal Message form. I'm asking here because I searched it on google and you all turned up the most relevant hit. There wasn't much to find on SMF's site. When we click on the quote button a green bar appears on the top of the page which says loading but nothing ever happens. There is nothing in the forum error log to shed any light on the problem. Any thoughts?

I have a bunch of mods loaded the ad mod, invite mod, custom actions mod, links management mod, clickable avatar mod, social bookmarks mod, zCommunity mod, and Aeva ~ Auto-Embed Video & Audio

I guess I should add that this has just developed as smf 1.1.9 came out. It occurs with IE8 and 6 possibly 7 as well and in FF and Chrome.

thanks as always

It really helps us if you use the format given in the Posting Guidelines.html because we know where to look for it.

However, this doesn't sound like a TP problem, but an SMF problem. If you want to see if any of your mods are causing problem, I suggest that you set your forum to the default theme and uninstall all of your mods. Then test the quote issue. If it works then, gradually reinstall your mods, testing the issue after each installation so you can see where the issue comes up.

If the quote function doesn't work when you have uninstalled all of your mods, then it's definitely an SMF problem and you'd get more luck at the SMF forum.

Just remove "|action" from the two relevant lines, and it should then work.
