Give me a sec to turn on guest access to the shoutbox.

Thanks!

It kinda seems like there just needs to be a tad more right-hand padding in .each_advshout to keep the text from going over so far, but I can't find the stylesheet for the tpadvshoutbox.

The style sheet is probably in the modules folder where its installed. Man I hate IE, they don't have any way the trouble shoot the dang thing like firefox does. I see the problem on your site. I don't see why it does it right away. Did you try a smaller percentage on your width?

Jerri Blank

Yeah, that scrolling seems to happen no matter how wide it is.  The text just edges a little too far over.

And I agree about IE - I used Firefox's "View source chart" plugin to identify the CSS tag that needs tweaking.

Thanks for looking at the site.

Okay, I went into /tp-files/tp-modules/TPAdvShout/Sources and edited TPAdvShout.php.  I went to:

.each_advshout /* actual advshout div*/

{

    padding: 4px;

font-size: 10px;

';

and changed the padding value to padding-right: 10px.

I THINK that helped keep the text from pushing all the way over behind the vertical scroll bar, but the horizontal scroll bar is still there in IE.  You don't need to use it to see everything, but it's still there. >:(

There's some element within that sh_wrap div that's too wide (for IE), but I can't put my finger on it.

Jerri Blank

PROBLEM SOLVED!

/tp-files/tp-modules/TPAdvShout/Sources and edited TPAdvShout.php

Find the #sh_wrap property and change the width to something less than 100% - keep lowering until the scroll bar is gone.  Still looks okay in Firefox.
