Better Shoutbox handling

I was think on a way to optimize the shoutbox messages handling, to erase the old one, not showed anymore.

Is it possible to have a Maintenance voice to erase all the not showed shouts? or is it possible to have checkbox on Shouts Control panel to "check all" the erase check boxes, but only of the page that we are viewing?
An other idea is to have an option to change the number of shouts per page on Shouts CP.
