How come a chit-chat post about SMF is locked?

Not trying to stir up but was wondering why a chit-chat post http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=21445.0 was locked?

It wasn't asking for support and I know with 100% certainty that everyone using TP uses SMF and a large proportion of us would be interested in this topic. And I think some would be wondering why it was locked.

I could understand if people were asking for support (I agree when the others on this topic in different area were locked)

Because we dont have the obligations to discuss SMF and what they do or when they do it on this site.
The info before it was locked is more then enough to give for the ones that want to know what we dont need to discuss. 
The site is down and they are working on it, what else is there to discuss ?

Sites do at times have problems and need to close for whatever reason. The first place people come is here looking for answers. We don't have all the answers.

Would you go to SMF Arcade, Felblog or any of the others sites that have mods? No, you come here.

Let them do what they need and in their own time.
