Ken.

So far doing searches is not giving me any results on this question, if there are already threads on this subject can someone please point me???

Lately I find myself doing lots of articles of various kinds and because some require the use of an editor and some donââ,¬â,,¢t it has become a somewhat  tedious chore switching the editor between on and off. Is there some way to have a function in the ââ,¬ËœAdd articleââ,¬â,,¢ page  that will let you turn the editor off/on?

My ââ,¬Ëœworkaroundââ,¬â,,¢ for the issue is to use an external html editor to write that kind of article and then copy/paste that code/text/content into my article windowââ,¬Â¦ that process is working OK, but it would still be nice to be able to more easily turn the built-in editors off and on.
Thanksââ,¬Â¦ ken

In 0.9.8 you will have an option in your profile to turn it off. Have that window open and switch back and forth for what article you need, would solve your problem maybe.

Thanks for the reply Bloc
I do something a little like that now with my ââ,¬Ëœtabbedââ,¬â,,¢ browser by having the new article window open on one tab and ââ,¬ËœAdmin>TinyPortal>Settingsââ,¬â,,¢ open on a second tab. This works OK, but being able to do the switch while remaining in the same window would be nice.
If someone is only doing one or two articles this may not sound like a big deal, but in my case I have two different websites, both with several hundred pages of HTML content and over the next 4-6 months a lot of that content is being  reworked so that it is accessed directly through the 2 forums (one for each site) ââ,¬Â¦ and the TP article system is being used for most of the work of including this content.
Please note that in no way am I complaining about the functionality of TPââ,¬Â¦ Iââ,¬â,,¢m still in the learning stages of using  TP & SMF and the more I learn the better I like TP!
Thanksââ,¬Â¦ Ken

No worries..this workaround in 0.9.7 is not optimal..and it has been reported by testers and team to be changed. So in 0.9.8 its moved elsewhere. ;)
