Atheist - Elements (1993)
The last and final album of only 3*
. Cited as Thinking Mans Metal, Technical Death Metal.. not overly heavy. A fusion of metal, jazz and funk. I bought this yesterday when I was in London to see Torture Squad, Gamma Bomb, Exodus and Overkill. We were only there to see Exodus, which we did.. then promptly left. Terrible gig, poor sound and way too many "trend metallers" for my liking.
Still I bought an Exodus hoody and 3 Bolt Thrower albums to replace the ones I still have on cassette**
I prefer: Unquestionable Presence (1991) which is a truly great album. Although I have yet to hear their first album: Piece of Time (1989 in Europe; 1990 in the United States).. But this reissue of Elements has a live version of On The Slay from Piece of Time.. Love It!.. Bah. Gonna have to hunt this one down now.http://www.officialatheist.com/http://www.myspace.com/kellysatheistwebsitehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheist_(band
