To make it easier for you, do this:

- Upload the SMF upgrade package and run upgrade.php. That makes sure you have the original SMF files again. Leave the databse as it is, it will get corrected if any errors.

- locate the Helios normal SMF version and upload it to your now TP Helios folder..it will then work as a normal SMF theme should.

- then..if you want to use TP, use package manager to install that. If it doesn't work, THEN you need to do a manual install of TP.

- when TP is working , simply upload the TP Helios again.

Thanks Bloc for your respons!
At this moment I am back to the situation that the forum is basic working with SMF 1.1RC3 again.
After copy and copy again (FTP-errors!) I could use install.
Upgrade did NOT work... But that can be reason of FTP-errors and so having not the right files on all places...

But now...
I tried TP 0.95 beta because of the NL-package not yet ready for the official 0.95.
In the package manager I get an error not all the files can be overwritten.
Also after giving the right FTP-user/pw I get an error the file or folder "forum" should not excist... But it does.
So it seems I need to do it manual.
In that case I read there is need to change much code in the files?
That frightens me a little...

Petty, I have allready a forum working with TP 0.86 and the Aero79-skin:
http://www.croatiahrvatska.eu/portal/index.php
Also the Juno skin works fine there!

Now with 0.95 on another forum I have much problems...
The package 0.86 cannot be used in the package manager, is that right?

First off Rule NR 1

Never EVER install any mods or other themes before you have a WORKING SMF forum.

Thats why over 60% of all installs of mods ends up with a lot of errors and tears.

When you have a working forum, install TP first, and when you have TP working on your SMF setup.
THEN go for the TP themes you want to install.

And with your FTP errors, have you tried FileZilla ? It's a free ware and it's great !

It seems you have a big status as hero member...
But reading is not your strongest issue, sorry...
This is second time we meet and not too nice...

First of all rules: I HAD a fine working SMF forum without any mods or active skins, etc. I have written that!
Second: I TRY to install TP before I go on further.
The reason for the trouble stated in my first post was I THOUGHT I had a TP-package...
Now I don't make that mistake again.

About FTP: I always use WsFTP, used to work fine.
But next time I will try filezilla too. Thx.

So...
Now I seem not to manage with the Package Manager...
What do you advise to install manual?
I want a DUTCH forum so I think about 0.95 beta with later install the dutch language files.
But later I want install Helios_Multi skin.

Are there options without changing the code as I read somewhere?

What can i say, Im a Bitch , and im an analfabet to...

If your package manager work, use it, always the best and fastest way to go if it works with your server and setup.

If you go with the package manager, use the full package of Tinyportal found here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item328

Upload it through your package manager and let it do the work and cross the fingers that it works.

When and if it works, you have to install the language pack from SMF first, and then for TP and dutch package are here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item353

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you for some reason fail the Tp install through your package manager, you have to go with the manual install.
The manual install package are here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item327
Download the package, extract the files, upload them manually and then download the premade file i made for you here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=8247.0;attach=6154
extract the zip and upload the files to and overwrite the old ones.
Then point your browser to http://www.yoursite.com/forum/manual_tp_install.php and you will have an updated DB

All this provided to you from TPs bitch, not bad at all for an analfabet ;)

Well I had to do the above option...
Seems to have succeeded...
After the manual_tp_install I had all positive text and after that opened the index... Saw an article "Welcome to TP...etc."
But...
NO forum.
Using button home keeps article.
In Admin section see all boards, all standard SMF1.1RC3 options but NO TP-options.
Only the TP-article on the Home.
So I changed that in the options below (edit article) that this may NOT been seen anymore.
Now my HOME keeps empty.
In the Admin section still NO TP options...

What can be wrong again?
My forum is in maintenance mode.
Will I open it for a while to let you see?

G6Cad

in order for us to se, yes, it's pretty good to have an open forum

G6Cad

Doesent seem like you have Tp installed at all, check that all the files are there in the default themes directory and that they are not zero byte 0 byte
