You're on the site. Look at the top of the page. You should see a link to "Downloads." That would be a good place to start.

I saw a place where you can download seprate blocks but im no "genius" at coding so I was wondering if I can download a theme with everything loaded on to it onto my smf!

I had this error at the very bottom of my board. Nothing big but its worth fixing:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_version() in /home/content/b/j/w/bjwilson/html/smf/Sources/Load.php(1040) : eval()'d code on line 311

if you would like to see the error scroll down to the bottom of the page of brianjwilson.com/smf !!! thanks, Brian

Someone would have to modify a theme for you with the mods that you have installed. I am not sure if anyone is up for that but it never hurts to ask.

Your first step (the very first step) would be to read up on TinyPortal and what it can do for you.  You want to have an idea of the cool things you will be able to have on your site after it is installed.  Make note that the current version of TP available (and being supported) is TP 0.9.5.  This version works with SMF 1.1RC3 best but also SMF 1.0.8 if you already have that version of SMF.  If you do not have one of these versions of SMF installed, you need to upgrade (suggested version is SMF 1.1RC3) "before" you install TinyPortal.

Your next step, install TinyPortal on your SMF site, and learn to use the basic features that come with it.  Use the DEFAULT CORE theme on your site for awhile, so you can see how things are "supposed" to work.

Your next step depends on whether you are looking to play around with the themes, or blocks.  If you decide to play around with themes, make sure that you ONLY download themes that are made for both TP and SMF.  There are a number of themes out there which have not been converted yet, and they only support SMF on its own.  You do NOT want those.  Try installing maybe 1 or 2 TP/SMF themes and ensure they are for the correct versions (as I pointed out above).

Once you have done that, you can play around with other things because you should at least understand how it is "supposed" to look, so that if something doesn't look right after you have installed some other Theme or Mod or Block code, you know what questions to ask.  :)

I moved this to its own topic because it didn't belong in the topic that you had posted it in.

And now I'm going to do something I have never before done in 8 years of helping people on message boards. I'm going to shout.

YOU HAVE TO INSTALL TINY PORTAL FIRST IN ORDER TO USE A TINY PORTAL THEME

TP offers good themes for the public to use!  O0
Thats awesome...
Im just curious on how TP admin made it so if you click home it goes to a non forums based page...Thats awesome and i want to learn how to do that! Thanks! :smiley6600:

First you have to learn to follow the instructions that are given to you by others who have experience.

Then work with small projects for a decade or so and you might learn enough to begin to approach a project with the wide scope of something like Tiny Portal.

Are you experienced and maybe can guide me through this :D
